If you count our short ride today we've only got about 600 miles in for the whole year.  That's may sound like a lot to a non biker but our average mileage ranges from 1,200 miles to 1,500 miles a month while we're touring and that's at a semi relaxed pace of 50 to 60 miles a day with one day off a week. It's supposed to be crappy weather-wise for the rest of the week here and the two days before we leave will be taken up with last minute details so we may be done with the training phase of our adventure.  With only 8 days to launch it looks like we'll have to get ready on the road.
Coincidentally our record mileage was in June of 2001 riding across Canada when we did 1,900 miles.  Still don't know how that happened.  Must have been in Saskatchewan part of the time with a tailwind.
